He’s done ok but not great. Thing is he goes however the wind is blowing and if he feels enough pressure from conservatives he acts accordingly sometimes.
I think he has the best chance in the general but I hope he feels very threatened in the primary to reinforce who matters most as he still has this idea in his head that the lefties will come around and support him

Huffines claims to be of most conservative TX senators.
The only poll I could find - from Rice University - shows the 17 or so republican senators - Bob Hall on top and Huffines in the bottom 5 or 6 of that group. I don’t call that ranking as “one of the most conservative”.
Huffines has made Abbott change course on a few things - (border protection) but Abbott STILL decided who would win and lose during the shut down. We were MONTHS after Florida in re-opening.

Ditto. There’s a lot we don’t know about other candidates that we do know about Abbott. All told, I’ll take Abbott.

Whatever, Rand. I endorse Governor Greg Abbott. At first I was turned off by Huffines’ billboards “an actual conservative“ and I’ve heard more than enough of him on local Dallas radio.
I liked Allen West as the Republican chair of Texas, where he should’ve stayed. Now he just seems like a carpetbagger.
...right Abbott did a great job of shutting down the state on board with Covid crap and passing exactly TWO of the Republican grassroots Priorities in the last legislative session... Punted on TransGender mutilation, voting integrity, property taxes, border security(he’s a disaster), school choice, religious freedom, cutting bloated Govt(pumped up under 20 years of Rino Repub control)!!! We got the Heartbeat bill and open carry and the Dems controled the rest.

Aside from letting Texans freeze, promise he would get property taxes lower, stop illegals and finishing the wall and not doing a damn thing, what has he done?
