It's Bridgerton meets The Bachelorette for NBC's newest dating show, the first trailer for which was released on Monday.

In The Courtship, which premieres on Sunday, March 6 at 8 p.m. ET, 16 men will compete to sweep one woman off her feet.

But they'll be doing their best to woo her the old-fashioned way, with carriage rides, archery, ballroom dancing, and hand-written love notes in a setting straight out of Regency-era England.

Just from the photographs the only thing Regency England this show is about is the men are wearing cravats and tails. 1: Many of the outfits the woman at the center of the show are not appropriate for the era. For some reason, the costume design decide to dress the woman in frocks out of some Disney Princess movie. 2: Many of the photos have the men without a waist coat just in the shirt. In that era, that was the equivalent of a men walking around naked. 3: Her romping with the men out in the open would force a marriage to who ever she was caught with.

A vastly better and more realistic dating show is "Regency House Party". I watched it on PBS.

I hope that of the 16, there are at LEAST a few that identify as women. Let’s not be sexist, now. And, transphobic.
