Another warned that the workers’ revolt might spread—thus challenging the legitimacy of a system that appropriated the industrial worker’s hammer crossed with the agricultural worker’s scythe. “Solidarity has decided not to confine itself solely to Poland. It is attempting to impose its subversive ideas on neighboring states and to interfere in their internal affairs.” He added a smear familiar to today’s ears, “This is just what fascists do in creating brigades of stormtroopers.”
The Soviet leaders faulted inadequate indoctrination decrying, “The lack of training in Marxist-Leninist sciences in secondary school is taking its toll. With regard to the mass media, their current status does not correspond to what is needed. The Party is taking steps to restore order and reestablish control. But even that will still leave things far from normal . . . Ideological erosion stemming from the decline of Party-educational work among the masses...

Lech Walesa was an electrician in a shipyard and a trade-union activist. Actual working class guy. He stood up to Poland, and by extension, to the USSR and helped people see that the Workers Paradise of the Left wasn’t doing much for the workers.
This is how things change.
So far, it does not look the slightest like whoever is in control is afraid of the Truckers or anybody else on our side.
Whoever is in control does what they want with zero signs of fear. And they keep winning. That is what makes the present moment so daunting.
Please Lord that the situation changes, but it may take a lot longer than many of us have.

You think Trudeau is showing anything other than abject fear. He declared emergency powers he knows he does not legitimately have and is terrified to actually use to the widespread injury of Canadians. He is a school yard bully.

You are correct. I do not see any evidence of fear whatsoever.
For the past two years governments all over the world have steadfastly and fearlessly usurped the law and assumed powers they do not have legally.
These governments have shown zero concern about how things look to the populace, and have quickly and relentlessly used force to impose their will.
Far from abject fear, Trudeau (and all these other governments) welcome the prospect of violence. They are provoking violence, and have prepared the way by conducting a propaganda campaign against non-existent domestic terrorist and white supremacists.
They have conducted that fabricated propaganda campaign in ANTICIPATION of the violence they hope to provoke, and which they show unmistakable signs of confidence in winning. If violence does break out, they will have their ready made justification: see, we told you so.
And who can say they are wrong, based on what we have seen up to now?
Come see the violence inherit in the system...

People are “subjects” in today’s society. As freedoms erode you become less of a threat to the protected leadership class. Notice how none of the leadership class ever gets prosecuted for clear obvious crimes? Until that happens, we’re in deep doo doo.
