Yeah, I read about taking the dome off once they’re all germinated to prevent damping off.

Seems like I saw something about certain plants that like humidity. Some of the tall domes also have them with a groove for a LED light strip which didn’t really make sense to me. I think some people do micro-greens with the tall lid, something between sprouts and baby greens. The tray setup I’m getting comes with 7” domes but I’m getting some 2” domes. I would use the 2” for germination. We have a lot of wind here so the 7” domes might be good on certain days when hardening off. Might also be good for in here on really cold nights. Vents wide open in both cases.

That makes sense for baby greens/micro greens.

I had a customer come into the store with a full flat of small pepper seedlings that were BLACK.

He couldn’t figure out what he was doing wrong. After an EXTENSIVE conversation, it turns out he was leaving the lights on his plants 24/7 and had the lights about 1/2” from them.

He basically cooked them. Do over! :)

Leaving ‘The Garden Biz’ was akin to getting out of prison or leaving the military; in 18 years, I’d seen it all, Baby! LOL!
