I don’t know. I know a few people who had Mavericks back in the early-mid Seventies, and they regard them with some favorable sentimentality.
I am sure part of that is getting older, but part of it is-nearly ALL cars sucked in the Seventies, particularly American cars.

My father bought my mother a 1972 Chevy Nova. Supposed to have a small 6 cylinder engine but ended up having a big “8” cylinder racing engine.
My mother became “The Little Old Lady From Baltimore”. Could blow off a jet if she wanted to.
I just wish that my parents hadn’t sold that beautiful 57 Chevy 210 with its hidden asskicking overdrive. So many memories, so many girls, including at one adventure 8 of them and moi. Got a few looks that day!
