Um, has anybody asked, “What happens as the tree continues to grow? It will eventually break through the framing and joists?”

Peeled trees with no bark aren’t going to grow.

Is the tree alive? It looks barren of bark and therefore dead.

those branches are dead, so they will not increase in diameter not will the branch lengthen and the location of branches don’t change with time. The remaining tree sections may be alive and grow into the house though.
