U.S.—Fans of former president Donald J. Trump are chomping at the bit to once again vote for the guy who fast-tracked vaccines and appointed Dr. Anthony Fauci to the Coronavirus Task Force.
"Trump was by far our greatest president. Even better than James Madison!" said local deplorable Nathan Nebulous. "Everything was great under Trump until that deadly virus changed the face of the entire earth overnight and ruined everything. But he was so good at owning the libs!"
Sean Hannity, a popular conservative pundit, announced his continued support of Trump on his radio program. "Sure, the vaccines don't seem to help at all and Fauci may have created COVID himself, but nobody's perfect. Don't lose sight of how great his Twitter account was before he got banned."
President Biden has welcomed a rematch with Trump, claiming it may be the only chance he has to stay in office. "I think this country is done with hetero-normative white men. No one's going to vote for him over a black man like me."
C'mon. As long as they lampoon both sides I'm ok with it.
Unlike SNL and others.
We’ve got our own mass formation hypnotized...
Anyone but him. Dr. Fauci did not have the best track record when it comes to epidemics. Look at HIV/AIDS. Also, Dr. Fauci is old. Should had gotten an expert from John Hopkins or Stanford instead.
This Trump supporter never claimed he was perfect - neither he nor his policies were but superior to any President in my lifetime (which extends back to Eisenhower) with only Reagan being close.
Phoof, there goes my sleep pattern.
You forgot what happened in New York City. Lombardy, Italy (and Wuhan, China). So we should had taken a timeout like we did with "15 days to slow the spread". Then take the blow all at once but mitigate a little bit by telling the elderly to wear masks and stay at home.
So much truth in humor.
“So much truth in humor.”
And I’m playing around, but that “winning” phrase does get to me. If we were a football team we would be the Lions.
Trump didn’t “hire” Fauci. He was entrenched since 1984.
Keeping our economy out of a depression and maybe the worlds ; is one of Trumps greatest achievements .
Biden of course seems intent on reversing that outcome.
Trump did everything he was supposed to do.
He wasn’t a dictator. He trusted his staff to do the right thing.
Dr. Fauci was hired in 1984 during the Reagan Administration to the same position he still holds today.
“He has been director of the NIAID since 1984.”

Trump didn’t hire Fauci. He’s been there since 1984.
Did someone hack Babylon Bee? Not funny.
C’mon. As long as they lampoon both sides I’m ok with it
%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
But the fact is that they only lampoon the left.
So what are they trying to say by this headline? Even if they didn’t necessarily have bad intentions, you shouldn’t have to work so hard to figure out alleged humor. In other words, as I said, lame.
And the fact that Trump actually didn’t hire Fauci weakens their humor attempt.
Champing/chomping. Same word.
I was glad that Trump won the 2016 election, and so were Democrats whom I met shortly after that election.
But I am not satisfied with Trump’s failures to create, direct, lead, and maintain his Trump Administration. Trump flubbed his administrative responsibilities re the Dept. of Justice.
On the other hand, Trump pursued - where he could - construction of the southern US border wall.
But, Trump failed in his administrative responsibilites re the Dept. of Defense.
Re the Trump Administration, Trump needed to show up - just barge in at DoD and DoJ - and lead from the front.
So, now we have a DoJ intent on making Americans out to be criminal enemies of the politically-correct state, and we have a DoD that both China and Russia are going to test, in order to verify whether or not “those Americans are really so careless and error-prone?”
China and Russia both know how to work their way thru morally corrupt command structures.
Yeah, has Trump learned from his mistakes? Perhaps someone else advised him, but he still made the choices.
