doctors and lawyers are the only professionals that get away with calling what they do “practice”...

would you trust an automotive repair shop that practices “mechanics”?...

I used to have a letter about that in the waiting area at My shop.

Part of the letter was about how doctors can make a wrong decision on treatment and the patient would come back and spend more money for the doctor to have a second try at healing them.

But when a customer brings their car in to the Technician they expect an instant diagnosis and repair to be done. Then there’s the old “I brought my car in for a Tune Up and now my Brakes don’t work !!!” To which I would often look in the customer files and show them the Work Order from months ago where I had warned them that the “brakes were in need of replacement very soon.” in the Repairs Needed Box on the bottom left of the page.
