doctors and lawyers are the only professionals that get away with calling what they do “practice”...
would you trust an automotive repair shop that practices “mechanics”?...
I used to have a letter about that in the waiting area at My shop.
Part of the letter was about how doctors can make a wrong decision on treatment and the patient would come back and spend more money for the doctor to have a second try at healing them.
But when a customer brings their car in to the Technician they expect an instant diagnosis and repair to be done. Then thereās the old āI brought my car in for a Tune Up and now my Brakes donāt work !!!ā To which I would often look in the customer files and show them the Work Order from months ago where I had warned them that the ābrakes were in need of replacement very soon.ā in the Repairs Needed Box on the bottom left of the page.
As my late father used to say, the doctors have no worries, they bury their mistakes.
Don’t forget architects...
