I feel like I have seen a major upswing of Neo-Nazis on social media, specifically Instagram, but elsewhere too in the last year. These aren't the skinheads of the 80's and 90's with shaved heads and red suspenders and red shoelaces on their Doc Martens that came from the punk scene, but rather what I am seeing is 15-30 year old dweeb-type white (and some non-white hispanic) males whose main focus is a pathological hatred of Jews, Israel and to some degree Christianity and traditional conservative values. It's less focused on blacks, hispanics, asians, etc. than years passed.
Most are super into LARPing (live action role playing), meaning they play tactical dress up and film themselves (few if any have ever served or heard a shot fired in anger), they communicate through cryptic memes that seem totally illogical if you don't get their lingo and imagery. I can't get a good hold on the political ideology, but it seems to be a little national socialism, a little anarchist, very driven by Norse mythology and nazism, etc. The left calls them "alt-right" of course, but I don't think that's a fitting description if you're looking at it academically. This is some sort of extremely nihilistic death-obsessed culture populated by a lot of incels (can't get laid) and weaker type people. Your school shooter types. They're also called "groypers", google the term.
They all seem to be waiting for some 'purge' event where they fancy themselves modern day elite commandos who will go on killing sprees whacking all the Jews and everyone else they hate. They speak openly of this.
Anyone else seeing a lot of these groyper nazi types out there online? Maybe having read up and gotten slightly fluent in their online forms of communication, I am just noticing it more? We can't let the left attach these losers to us and we should run them off if they appear in our midst.

Thanks for the character breakdown and description of their activities. I don’t instagram, nor do I do any gaming, so I most likely would never get anywhere near their online Lair.
That’s an unfortunate waste of energy and imagination, dreaming up different reasons to feel hatred or resentment toward others. As you said, it’s what a weak in spirit person would do.
Free Republic is about my only social media outlight, so I’ve not seen those guys around here.
They sound like the sort that one good beat-down in a fair fight would take the wind right out of their sails.
It’s the ANTIFA/BLM goons that I see as far, far more dangerous. And what gets me is all their support among Millennials in the workplace that will openly say they’re looking for “good trouble” in company Zoom meetings. Not to mention the subtle encouragement the Bronco/Brandon Administration gives A/B.
I must be culturally deprived. I don’t do social media (other than Free Republic) so I guess that’s how I remain ignorant of such people. Perhaps most of them aren’t even real people but FBI agents?
Nazism is really popular among young whites right now. There is a website called HawtNazi with young girls all around the world dressing up in Nazi clothes, baking Nazi themed cakes etc

I don’t know about most, but probably a good number... interestingly, I never see these people in public anywhere... of course, if they wore it on their shirt, they’d all get beat down.
The so-called white supremacists we’ve seen on TV with tiki-torches, khakis and white polos at various rallies are all feds IMO.
Now I have stumbled on some Asians that have some weird fetish with Nazi regalia and tanks and stuff. There’s even (or was) a posh Nazi-themed restaurant somewhere out there. They seem to not mind the overt trappings and will wear them for fun but are clueless (or ambivalent) about the politics and crimes.
Yeah, that “Patriot Front” bunch and the “Abercrombie & Snitch” photo scream “Fed provocateur” to me.

IIRC, didn’t Hugo Boss design the SS outfits? The Nazis did a lot of PR and designed their insignia to be powerful. Hitler did a photo shoot early in his career to practice making gestures patterned after opera. Add in the spectacle/ritual/rallies.
I am in no way trying to justify it, only saying that there was a lot of theatricality built into Nazi imagery.
Am I surprised that a generation ignorant of history would fall for it? Sickened, yes. Surprised, sadly no,
