One of the earliest songs I remember listening to on the transistor radio I received from my parents when I was in fourth grade. Also Downtown by Petula Clark, Mr. Tambourine Man by The Byrds, and It's Not Unusual by Tom Jones.

Yes, I know there were several Beatles songs on the radio then, but I didn't particularly notice them or identify with them at that age. The first Beatles song I remember really liking was Eleanor Rigby, which didn't come out until the summer of 1966. In 1965, The Beatles were just another group on the radio to me.
