Now the whole neighboring States of New York, New Jersey and Maryland seem to be cresting as well.

Those places where Omicron was taking off in earnest in mid-December, are cracking now. Other places waves are just a week or two behind.

Thanks as always. Interesting, on the hot states there are a few hints of hesitation in the screaming upward case movement for the first time since cases really took off. Hopefully a precursor to the coming decline.

Daily cases are soaring but daily deaths are not.

It would be nice if they also had a graph of daily tests from the beginning all the way through.

Comparing daily cases to daily tests would provide some relevant information.

I look at that info and a lot more on my state site. Worldometer just puts up what the states put out, and the the numbers for Colorado on Worldometer always match the Colorado site, I look every day.

I could go to the CO site for the CO numbers too but I would still like to compare daily tests with daily cases for the nation.

MI, TN, IN, AL did not report. The death count was way over 2000 with them added, re prior week same day numbers from them.

Averaging 2,000 the next 60 days, we'll hit 1,000,000 total deaths since the date when we had to shut down the country two years ago with "15 days to slow the spread".

I generally have had zero interest in government mitigation efforts, failed or otherwise.

I stay on the numbers, and 80% of that focus is on Excess Death numbers that have no aspect of testing totals or With vs Of or any of that desperate emotional crap. Dead is dead, and the dead totals are far above the normal, pre Covid, levels.

And before someone jumps up to yell people are dying because of govt and media fear porn keeping folks from going to the doctor, that argument is smashed by March/April 2020 New England. They spiked deaths. The spiked them hard. It was too early for fear porn to even, as a phrase, get invented as a signif thing. People had not had time to be scared away from the doc’s office. They were doing what they always did.

And they died anyway.

That March/April Excess Death curve matched the March/April Covid curve. Covid generated and still generates the Excess. People need to understand and accept truth. It’s right there in the March/April 2020 ED data.

South Africa had 11 daily deaths on its Nov 17, 7 day average, which was pre Omicron. Yesterday it is 125, with Omicron not just dominant, but likely 90%+. That’s X10 on deaths in less than 2 months. And it’s summer there.

Our own 1000-2000 daily deaths for 5 solid months, in a vaxed elderly population, with Omicron super dominant, with several of those months pre winter . . . sure, everyone should celebrate and worship at the altar of hope.
