I believe that was part of the instruction that Jesus gave to his disciples when he sent them out to preach. Do you think this instruction absolves us from practicing the second of the two “great commandments” that Jesus gave? I don’t believe that is the case.
I’m just sayin’... Perverts and baby killers, Hollywood types and other pagans can’t be fixed. Jesus did not specify that was only for the disciples. If they won’t listen, shake the dust off.
All they can do is make you miserable. Blow em off. There are other people in the world willing to listen.
If you really have that do-gooder gene, wait until one of them seems vulnerable for some reason, then let your light shine.
Or be like the virgins in the parable and save your oil for when it’s needed.
