There’s another version of that story, commonly told as a joke, involving three male adventurers who get lost in the jungle and are captured by a tribe of primitive men. They are accused of being spies, tried and found guilty, and then given a choice of sentence, “Buff Buff“, Or death. The first guy chooses buff buff and gets roughly buggered by a big tribesman. The second guy, seeing the first guy’s terrible distress, is torn between buff buff and death, but ultimately chooses buff buff. He too is roughly buggered. So the third guy chooses death, and the chief of the tribe proclaims, “OK, death by buff buff!”
