Movie classics meet FLASH DANCE (I'm So Excited!)
Scores of Hollywood personalities dancing up a storm.
A meeting of clips and music.
Bump, love it!
Wonderful!! I’d like to know the name of every movie shown in this...
I was able to sit silent but sitting still was another matter. LOL
That was fun!
They are listed in the youtube page.
I think it was this person that did a previous one that was more upbeat and a variable time signature that was really good too. Much more up tempo.

oops. Here it is from another person. “Uptown Funk”. These people that do these are VERY creative.
Scroll down from the video, click ‘Show More’ and there, while you won’t find names of stars, you will find names of the films used. Off the top of my head do remember, Robert Cummings, Rita Hayworth, Judy Garland, Gene Kelly, Rock Hudson, Fred Astire, Shirley Temple, Ann Miller, June Allison, Frank Sinatra, John Travolda, Olivia Newton John; MEMORY FULL, unable to display more.
DH ran across this video. He plays it at least twice every
evening....High volume. We both get a thrill from the visual
and the tapping of toes lasts for hours. :-) He’ll ask: Who’s that?” Attempt to give him an answer, sometimes that
is easier than others. The YT user has done a number of videos using the concept. His library of film can be found
here:

There are a lot of those videos on YT. The people who put them together do a mighty good job with them. They pick good tunes but the visuals are what make them so much fun.
This one’s a really good one.
Thanks for posting. This was really outstanding.
You know what I dearly loved about that? I didn’t know a thing about any of those people’s politics. Nothing. How enjoyable.
Exactly! :-) A feel good film when viewed.
The time and effort to edit must be an art unto itself.
What song to choose, which movie clip is best, and the
continuation factor. Much to consider. An artist in his
own right.
THANK YOU
Happy to help. Grew up able to catch a number of the films
on alocal tee vee channel. Today’s broadcasts fall short of
the entertainment these older flicks produced. Even so,
never realized Frank Sinatra ever had the ability to dance like THAT! “HAPPY FEET”
“That’s Life”.....

As a poster noted upthread, the movies are listed, but you can't just follow them in order, since they insert different clips from a few movies here and there. You have to have wasted your life actually looking at old movies like I have. But the dancing makes me glad. The best dancers— Irish and blacks—are well represented...
Thanks for naming them. Outstanding dancers!
....Gwen Verdon.
Happy to see confirmation she was included. Failed to
recognize her, even though searched for her face. First
introduced to her in “Damn Yankees”. Never forgot her abilities. To think she might have been slighted was unthinkable.
