Hospitalizations normally go up in the Winter.

Cold and flu contribute to that seasonal effect, but it is more than just them.

Right - the abrupt rise in hospitalizations (here locally too) can’t be explained by flu, and colds create few hospitalizations.

Local docs are reporting lots of other “respiratory infections” too, and sinusitis is popular, but, those are walk-in clinic stuff, not hospitalizations.

We’ll know soon enough. I see COVID fatalities have gone back over 2k. :-(
