**PITTSBURGH — A 118-year-old statue of the "Oh! Susanna" songwriter was removed from a Pittsburgh park Thursday after criticism that the work is demeaning because it includes a slave sitting at his feet, plucking a banjo.Apr 26, 2018**

When Trump is re-elected, his FIRST act should be to RESURRECT/REDISPLAY every statue the Marxists took down.

Stephen Foster is rapidly becoming an ‘unperson’ in the music world. The Kentucky Derby has used “My Old Kentucky Home” as a theme song but ‘modified’ it playing with a ‘moment of thoughtful silence’.

While not Foster, when Maryland dropped “Maryland, My Maryland” as the state song, so did the Preakness (Baltimore) as it was also deemed racist!

There you go.

There was a black band called The Carolina Chocolate Drops who played old-style stringband music, along with some pieces from Foster and some that had roots in minstrel shows. I wonder what they would think about this.

I DON’T CARE. We will sing Jingle Bells, play Jingle Bells and enjoy Jingle Bells in spite of it’s ‘questionable past’.

Mental Illness - that is the only explanation for crap like this. It won’t stop until we get involved in every school board in the country. The school boards are getting to be like the FRBI - we cannot trust either one.

It is about dismantling our culture, period. Everyone knows and loves this silly sleighing song, therefore it must go.

The article’s suggestion that the song is connected to a religious holiday is ridiculous. There is nothing religious about Jingle Bells. We just happen to pull it out at Christmas time.

“E-Mail no longer workie. I think he is in hiding.”

I expect he’s been called out on every point he attempted to make in his word salad denial memo. He knows he has become the puppet of his super-woke staff who have left him out to dry on the flimsiest basis possible, the “may have been used in a minstrel show” that had no evidence cited. A competent board would pull all the likely suspects in for an executive session to figure out who was hitting the bricks for such sloppy decision-making and slipshod academic process. Depending on how that how works out, the voters could then decide if a house-cleaning of the board is in order.

You will never meet anyone as narrow-minded, reactionary and as stupid as an “academic.”

ACADEMIC (ak-uh-DEM-ik): An individual educated beyond his intelligence who is unwilling or unable to create or provide anything of value to others, who while hiding out in a think-tank, college or university pontificates and expects to be paid for it, usually from public funds.

I don’t know about that. I once saw a documentary about the Spanish Inquisition and there weren’t any lawyers.
