Trader Joe’s had shelves full of Panettones....at the same price they’ve always been.

This year, so did Wally World. The delicious bread, its unique form sealed in a gift box. Less than $10 each. More exact: Give or take $5. We purchased a number of them for remembrance gifts and a few for ourselves. Not being a connoisseur Panettone critic: the bread might have been on the ‘dry side” but it was eaten and thoroughly enjoyed. The bakery brand: Bauducco Panettone Classic. The display managed to make a rapid disappearance from the store. Two days later, not even one remained.

To be honest, this Texan prefers the panettone over the Famous Corsicana Fruit cake from Collins Street Bakery.

A lovely Merry Christmas to one and all!
