Wait a week. Coffee will be bad for you again.
I use almond milk on cereal and love it.
“I have such an aversion to dairy I shake my head yes about the lactose thingy, but I don’t think that’s it.”
You’re right; it’s not that. It’s the gross factor for some people, pure and simple.
I do like eggs, and some cheese.
Let’s see, according to the measure on my coffee maker, I make an 8 cup pot every morning.
I usually drink the whole thing.
So, I should be okay then.
I’m skeptical. Source?
The study found iron absorption inhibition rates varied by the type:
Black tea: 79 to 94%

How many more do you need?
“Unfortunately, tannins can also bind easily with some minerals such as iron, zinc and to a lesser extent calcium, and this can interfere with their absorption. It's best to leave a 30-minute gap between eating a meal and drinking tea to make sure you have the best chance to absorb these minerals. You can also enhance your absorption of non-haem iron (from plants) by making your meals rich in vitamin C through fresh fruits and vegetables.”

Followed by a couple glasses of red wine in the evening and you’re pretty much covered. 😏
Yikes. I totally hate every single kind of tea. Have some around for friends.
So, my question is, can I just drink 8 cups of coffee?
Thanks. Looks like I’ll need to change practices a bit. I’ve also read that EGCG in green tea interferes with calcium absorption, while lactose interferes with EGCG absorption. Ironically, I don’t have sources.
Upon closer inspection, I take C while drinking tea and that improves (counteracts?) the tannins. Also, since mature vitamins have less iron, reducing iron absorption may be a good thing. Reduced absorption of zinc, calcium, etc not good though.
“I’ve also read that EGCG in green tea interferes with calcium absorption,”
Recently I read that green tea can help reverse osteoporosis by letting bones absorb calcium.
It’s all a crap shoot, right. Nobody really knows what’s true, it seems.
Drink plenty of coffee. I don’t care for tea but take “Green tea Extract”.....Wonder if that has the Same effect.
