For all intents and purposes, today’s science is steeped in politically charged leftist manipulation, propaganda, and skullduggery.
Science is a noble human endeavor with the goal of discovering, examining, testing, explaining, harnessing, and preserving physical nature for the benefit and advancement of humankind. Moreover, the virtuous pursuits of science serve to augment our understanding of the previously unknown.
In its purest application, science is never truly settled. Science is not suited to reach concrete conclusions on the how, when, where, or why of the cosmic mysteries of the material universe, its creation, or Creator. For science, in its historically accepted proper application, is not based on conjecture alone. Scientific theories must be proven factually, through exhaustive experimentation and testing,

In the current state of scientific inquiry, even Einstein would be shouted down and classified a heretic had he stood up to and challenged the murky, politically correct, unchallengeable, "settled science" of climate change or COVID-19 mandates. Why? Because, the vacuous term "settled science" is now a sacred cow of the tyrannical, propagandizing, leftist crusaders, no matter how ambiguous and errant it is.
COVID-19 fearmongering and the sacrosanct arena of climate change science, are the left’s foremost weapons of choice to suppress and control, with an eye on destroying, those American citizens who refuse to kneel before their tyrannical religion, Marxist Globalism.
Those of us with graying hair and a truly liberal education remember a time when standup scientists published their conclusions with acute awareness that both their peers and superiors would be out to scrutinize their findings for the purpose of refuting or validating their body of work. Today, peer review of the left’s sacred "settled science" is a serious, reputable scientist’s one-way ticket to being censured and banished from any hope of acquiring government research dollars.

An obvious example today is the Climate Change scam.
When folks talk about "the science" and scientific consensus, and the science tells us you are not listening to a scientist but a corrupt power mongering bureaucrat or a budding totalitarian politician trying to cover up their own ignorance, and dictate the last word on the subject - you know like Biden or that Fauxi fraud.

The other thing that irritates me to the point of infuriation is their penchant to substitute consensus for science, especially since they regard consensus as valid when they pick and choose whose “consensus” will qualify something as “science”.
Skepticism is a foundational underpinning of science.
In all of this, my respect for medical science has plummeted to nearly non-existence. And I work in medicine.
The same people I see telling me to “trust the science” are the same people denying that XY chromosomes mean a person is a male, and XX chromosomes means a person is a female.
Fauci is not a Scientist. At best, he is a Scientologist, or one who misuses the name of science in a metaphysical or dishonest way..

You are correct. In Fauci’s case, the Scientific Method is not even a general guideline.
When “scientists” started telling me men could get pregnant, I KNEW their brand of science was corrupted all to hell. My BS was in Biology, BTW, although I only spent a few years working as one.
Science is at its best when it confronts conventional thinking with indisputable facts. The best current example is the genomic and zoogenisis analysis of the origin of the SAR-COV-2 virus. The facts are clear that the virus did not mutate naturally and spread from bats to humans through the well understood process of natural selection. Genomic sequencing shows that it was manipulated in a lab to make the original bat virus highly infectious to humans without any intervening natural stages.
As with Gallileo, Copernicus, Brahe, Newton, Einstein, Shrodinger, and Darwin there is often science that the rest of the world just can’t handle.
the bigger deal is that darwinian evolution as a viable scientific theory is dead—and has been dead for decades but the academy won’t let it go.
As a research scientist, I contend all the fields of science usually contains a huge dose of politics and Scientists are anything but “a noisy and contentious lot”. To get published and not be pushed out of their fields they must blend in and promote the accepted theories. No grant will be given, no tenure will be given and no paid positions will be given otherwise. There has been many good scientists that were rejected and often shown to be right only after their death, and not a few.

And of all the things associated with this COVID mess, the thing that made me most suspicious was the ironclad embrace of quarantining, ventilation, and vaccination as the only things worthy of discussion or attention. The "science" would not even consider treatments other than rest, liquids, hospitalization and ventilation.
And militantly not considering.

There has been a “pandemic plan” in place since 9/11. The plan has been refined, added to, tweaked for 20 years.
I have participated in many discussions at meetings about The Plan. For some, it is their life’s work.
But the plan is for influenza A. Once this really took off, “ACTIVATE THE PLAN” was signaled all over, and even thought the virus is not an influenza virus, give millions (literally) of drones a plan, and, dammit, they will say “Sir yes sir” and try to get it done.

The FDA permits data scams. Researchers from the Yale University School of Medicine looked at trials between 2005 and 2012. They found that the FDA based many drug approvals on studies that used various forms of data cheating. Donald Light and Ben Goldacre separately confirmed this story. They wrote: ✪ Thirty-seven percent of the drugs had only a single study. ✪ Forty-five percent of the trials for drug approval used study endpoints such as blood sugar or cholesterol (surrogate markers) rather than hard endpoints such as death or another clinical finding. ✪ Nearly a third 0f all the studies made a comparison with an older drug. When two drugs are found to be about the same, the companies usually claim some obscure advantage for the recent one. This games the approval process and allows the industry to market expensive “me-too” medications that offer no benefit over the older ones. ✪ To make a drug look good, the companies often exclude people who are more likely to have adverse outcomes.
