Costco is a private business. It is also a membership-only site. So give the guy a choice: either put on a mask or we’ll cancel your membership and refund your membership fee in full.
If the drama queen refuses to make a choice, trespass him and call the cops.
Disclaimer:I am anti-mask. But more importantly, I am pro-property rights.

Only drama queens are idiots like you who go along to get along with their butt buddy biden. At least he had the courage to make a statement. Now shut up get your 3rd dose and put that fing mask on. Oh, don’t forget to wear your face shield and goggles while your alone in your car.
Have a good day you sheep.
I do have to agree. Here in CA, Ive been to countless times I enter without a mask when all I need is one soda and dont need the aggravation from toy cops and asshole store managers arguing when all I need are cantaloupes on sale. I make sure when I leave (like a number of people) to remove my mask exactly when I exit.
Publicly trade company.
Not a private business.
Different rules apply
You’re naive
You do realize the masks don’t work and there is a difference between a mandate and a law.
Sometimes property rights have to go to the back of the bus. So to speak. People need to push back, even in ways that make them a PITA. Liberals understand this, which is why they win. Conservatives don’t want to pay the price of resistance, which is why they lose. Leftists win because they want it more. Simple as that.
Agree. No need to make a scene...then again many enforcers are afraid they will be complicit in SPUHREADING the disease if they don’t enforce.
Two things I have not seen is: telling someone to put the mask over their nose as well as their mouth...or they get kicked out, some food manager telling their food handler who is not wearing gloves to use the gloves.

Is that you, Governor Noem?

Exactly!
Private company? Can they say no blacks? No fat people?
They aren’t private anymore than any other fascist deal making company.
I’m anti-mask but that said, I know a choice when I encounter it. I wear a mask in Costco. Why? Because the business wants me to. It somehow makes other member shoppers feel more secure. I can choose not to be a member. If they demand a vaccination, I’ll give Costco up.
Good for you.
I agree with the sentiment wholeheartedly.
I remember, before I left the States, last spring when the mask mandates in my area were gradually lifted, I had this personal policy: if a business had a mask required sign that said "due to government policy, you have to wear a mask" I kept my mask off. If a business simply had a "mask required" sign up, then I either complied with their requirement or found someplace else to go.
It was sort of hit-or-miss at the time. Virginia lifted their mask mandate first, then Central Maryland (Howard & Anne Arundel), then finally PG & Monkey Counties. I can't remember if the District ever lifted theirs or not (usually didn't shop or dine in the District so can't remember).
As to Costco, I remember at the time it was hit-or-miss depending upon the GM of the individual store. The Costco in Columbia MD was hardcore about keeping the masks on unless you wanted to go through the 3rd degree about vaccination, while the Costcos in Ellicott City and Glen Burnie were perfectly fine with whoever going in maskless.
You are SPOT ON with your comment about property rights...if you have a maskless mandate at your home, people can either comply and remove their masks or get off your property. Same deal with a store. If they have a mask mandate (or a mandate to remove masks), either comply or leave. Simple.

Sorry. Property rights have not meant a damn thing in this country for decades. Both individuals are absolutely within their rights to refuse to wear a mask under the terms of the ADA, which, unlike these ‘mask mandates’, is actual law, passed by congress and signed by an actual president. It is even against the law for the business to ask =why= they can’t wear a mask.
Are you also going to try to claim that if they refuse to allow someone in a wheelchair access, that this is also fine because it is a private business?
