I'm certainly no Obama fan but the editing is what the problem is here. I just read through his speech and in typical Obama fashion, his desire to be wordy is what muddies the water and allows for this to be taken out of context. To be honest, the entire speech is disjointed. When he said, “small minded people” he should have immediately followed it with, “we reject this notion” but he didn't. Awful speech, awful speech writer.
