I know I should have done this a long time ago but... I need to ditch PayPal. Can my Freeper buddies suggest an alternative? Thanks
I use cash app.
Pay cash. Because every company is woke these days.
Strike app
Grandpa used to mail postage stamps.
What’s the issue with PayPal?
Forgive my computer illiteracy but is cash app. something I download to my computer/phone?
#1 they have gone woke
#2 they are making it very difficult to log on especially when using a vpn
#3 they have changed their terms and conditions and I don’t like/agree with the new terms.
Do you mean Stripe?
They also lean left.
I don’t think there is a good alternative yet aside from crypto which only a small percentage of people use.
Thank you, I will keep an eye on that. Would be nice if they could launch it sooner so I could use it for Christmas shopping but I can wait another month or two.
No firearm purchases.
Get a credit card.
I’m in a tiff with Pay Pal right now. I ordered a 165 gallon out door deck box. FYI, that would be about the size of a desk. I received a box made from cardboard and fabric about 18 inches by 12 by 12. I sent pay pal a picture of what I received. They admit I didn’t receive what I ordered but in order to get a refund I must return the box to the seller. PP will refund shipping up to 30 dollars. I told PP they could send me a prepaid mailer. I’ve contacted my Credit Card company and they say I have no obligation to return the item since I didn’t order it. PP says they won’t refund until I return.
I’ve advised my wife to avoid PP in the future.
Paypal is safe.
I do not trust the others. They are too new. How safe are they from hackers??
I have done probably done 3000+ transasactions with Paypal and never an issue.
The only reason, IMO, to use PayPal is for safety. It removes your credit card from direct access on the internet.
I dumped PayPal a couple of years ago because I didn’t like their policies. In its place, I use a virtual credit card system (you can generate a new one-time number for each purchase with dollar and time limits). Mine is a CitiBank Mastercard. This has worked very well. I don’t like using my “real” credit card number for one-time internet purchases
Thanks, I’ll look into that with my credit card.
I agree with the woke crap. I’ve quit buying Coke, Uncle Ben’s rice, Land-O-Lakes butter, and a number of other products, too. Yes, I know my purchases mean nothing to them, but if we can get an avalanche of others to do the same, maybe they will see just how stupid they’ve been.
