How Do Your Eating Habits Compare to Warren Buffett, Elon Musk and Bill Gates? These Are the Billionaires' Favorite Foods to Snack On
Houston Chronicle ^ | Nov. 7, 2021 | Jessica Thomas

From midnight cereal snacks to McDonald's runs, loving junk food is one way billionaires are just like us.

Although the life of a billionaire looks glamorous from the outside — private jets, mansions around the world, Michelin-starred restaurants — in some ways billionaires can be shockingly down to earth. Case in point: Warren Buffett and Bill Gates, two of the richest people in the world, prefer a McDonald’s burger to most high-end cuisine. Read on for more insights into seven billionaires’ favorite snacks.

Jeff Bezos The Amazon founder reportedly makes time for a healthful breakfast whenever possible. His preferred order isn’t exactly commonplace, though. Bezos once reportedly requested Mediterranean octopus with potatoes, bacon, green garlic yogurt and a poached egg during a breakfast meeting. Before Bezos went to space on his New Shepard rocket ship, he also joked with reporters who suggested the tray of Arroz con Pollo he was carrying could be his “last meal.”

Sara Blakely The billionaire founder of Spanx, who sold a majority stake in her company to Blackstone in October, generally leads a pretty healthy lifestyle. For example, she starts every morning with a smoothie her husband deems “disgusting,” which includes “frozen wild blueberries, a few dark cherries, kale, dates, cinnamon, spinach, cilantro, fresh mint, lemon, water, ice, chia and walnuts.” Blakely pairs the smoothie with green tea, which she drinks with local honey and cashew milk. But not all of her favorite snacks are so virtuous. Blakely told The Strategist that her pre-flight ritual is to buy a big bag of Cheez-Its: “I never eat Cheez-Its at any other time, but I do fly a lot, so I am eating Cheez-Its a lot.”

The Oracle of Omaha’s eating habits have been the subject of many internet articles, and for good reason. The 91-year-old

No offense to the poster, but I could care less what Bill Gates has for dinner.

The writer however, it must have been a slow newsday somewhere.

The 91-year-old Berkshire Hathaway CEO and chairman famously loves junk food, preferring hamburgers, hot dogs, Cherry Coke and McDonald’s to any high-end cuisine. He despises vegetables and told CNBC in 2010..

Kind of goes to show genes are a big part of how long one lives.

Had a great aunt who lived well into her 90s who flourished on a steady diet of cigarettes and candy bars. Had to give up cigarettes when she entered an assisted living home when her mind began to fail, but she kept the candy bars.

I have recently rediscovered BUGLES. Someone I work with used to bring them to all of the office potlucks, along with one of those cans of dispenser cheese, and the idea was to put a little cheese inside the BUGLE.

But they now have a nacho cheese flavor available.

This is pure propaganda. Billionaires enjoy amazing food on an almost daily basis. The curation of an image of a down home, everyday, regular joe helps keep regular joes from hating them too much. In reality, their lives, and their tastes are beyond anything we can imagine.

What? You don’t like reports of rank hypocrisy, such as Bill Gates having burgers for lunch seemingly daily?

I had a grandfather who could afford to eat in fancy restaurants and we ate at many of them one summer when I was his chauffeur.

He was a bona fide gourmet.

The fancy food never seemed worth it to me.

Everyone’s tastes really are different.

It’s 99% genetics.

My 94 year old mil ate nothing but junk food, processed can food and tv dinners her entire life. We found 12 large bags of candy in her bedroom that she would eat at night watching TV

My wife took off after her mom same way She is 60.. No HBP nothing. Not a single med. She eats a complete pie to herself every 2-3 days, nothing but cheeseburgers, fries, pizza and Taco Bell for lunch at work.
Drinks 1-3 cans of Coke very day.

5-7 125 lbs.

Looks around my desk
Sesame Sticks, sunflower seeds, Spanish peanuts, yogurt-coated pretzels, Red Hots, Hampton Farms Hot Peanuts(I’m addicted)

The Red Hots are nasty. I’m saving them for cinnamon apples in the fire pit.

We only have 2 restaurants in town; Burger King and a home cooking place. BK sells everything which means they aren’t good at any of them but they do offer horribly slow service. If I want a FF burger, it’s a Big Hardee at Hardees in the next town.
