We bought the flooring from Home Depot and also had them install it. Tennessee has this law that if you do something permanent to your house and buy the product from the same people that install it, you pay no sales tax.
Who’s coming out is just the installer. Unfortunately Home Depot has hired a middleman to handle all the installation and they do a pitiful job. All they do is hire local people but they are very difficult to deal with. And apparently they threatened the installers that if the owners don’t like it and it has to be redone, it’s on the installers.
Home Depot has been great actually. This last time they had wood sent directly from Bruce Hardware. It looks like Bruce is having some quality control issues. Which is a shame because the flooring is beautiful when it’s all the same color :-)
