A tragedy occurred on the set of the latest Alec Baldwin movie where the actor reportedly accidentally shot and killed a female cinematographer and injured the director due to a prop gun misfire.
“Alec Baldwin fired a prop gun on a set in New Mexico on Thursday, accidentally killing cinematographer Halyna Hutchins and wounding director Joel Souza,” reported Variety.
The tragic incident reportedly occurred on the Bonanza Creek Ranch set in Santa Fe, New Mexico, where Alec Baldwin was shooting his upcoming Western, Rust. Hutchins, who originally remained unidentified, died after being transported via helicopter to the University of New Mexico Hospital.

Congress passing gun legislation? What kind of moron are you? What does this have to do with gun legislation? You need therapy and lots of it.
What?
Why haven’t we heard about this before?!?
Multiple threads on this. Anyway, gross negligence by a gross person.
“That was four days ago, five days ago. Come on, man!”
I commented on another thread about this how it is a “Columbo episode in the making.” How easy it would be for someone who “has it in” for Baldwin surreptitiously to place a live round into the mix. At bottom, as another post points out, Baldwin violated a fundamental rule in handling firearms of any kind. He pointed at the wrong target. I seriously doubt he intended to kill the victim, but that is for proper investigation to determine.
I suppose I should have said “In before ANYONE else!” huh? LOL! Worse than the gabby/brian murder story. But everyone means well, I know.
And criminality to whoever loaded it with a real bullet, it seems.
And what part of the script called for him to shoot at the cinematographer and an assistant?
My concern is that it didn't follow a normal custody route. Someone put in a live bullet. Who? Was the gun from a private collection?
Ironic that RUST is about an accidental murder. And Baldwin wrote it...with someone else. And you can bet that Baldwin is gun savvy...and I'll bet much more than anyone thinks.
Baldwin pulled the trigger. He pointed that gun into the direction of those who got shot and pulled the trigger.
That is all the common sense in this incident we need to know.
Yup!
I heard from a frog grip on The set that the director asked for another take. Balwin went in to the bathroom and came out angry. Blamed the camera girl and Said no need for another take. Then shot them in cold blood and claimed to have been joking.
Baldwin picked it up. Then without checking the loads cocked the weapon, pointed at someone, and then pulled the f’ing trigger. EOS. You operate it, you own it. He should enjoy some shower and soap time with bubba in jail.
He is an AH and I hope this haunts him until his dying day.
Someone asked if Mean Drunk Alex was drugged tested after the murder .
Do you think that’s true.......how it happened
Now do Brian Laundrie!
And Generalissimo Francisco Franco!
“”And what part of the script called for him to shoot at the cinematographer and an assistant?””
Very good question!! I’d like to hear the answer. It better be good.
If that’s true, the joke is on him and isn’t going to be funny.
I hope he gets financially ruined and does some heavy time.
