From now on, if you attend any rally or protest, don't bring your phone. If you do, keep it in a Faraday bag so you can have it available in an emergency. Always assume law enforcement will be using cellphone scanners to link you by location and time to the event.
I encourage everyone to bring a camera (don't use your cellphone which can be tracked) to film and photograph everything; especially law enforcement and anyone acting strangely, suspiciously, or encouraging people to break the law.
Don't trust anyone at the event you haven't known since kindergarten. Your new friend asking for your name and where you're from might not be a friend. Be careful who you share personal information with.
Don't wear anything anyone you know can recognize and link to you later. Your unique favorite jacket and cap might be used to identify you in videos and photos.
Although no one should have to hide their face from the government during a rally or protest we live in a different America with different rules and motives of law enforcement. Covid is a legitimate reason to wear a mask.
