Can’t cancel Dave Chapelle. And he doesn’t give a ****.
I watched The Closer last night and I just didn’t find most of the jokes funny. The closest to a good laugh I had was when he disclosed his mild case of COVID and then claimed “I’m the Magic Johnson of the Coronavirus”. I laughed a lot more at his previous special “Sticks and Stones”.
One undeniable thing about Chappelle is that he’s rich enough to not care what anybody says about him. For that, I applaud his willingness to be edgy with many of the Left’s sacred cows. But he just didn’t hit the target with most of his jokes although the crowd in Detroit would disagree.
transgenderism confirms male supremacy
men are even better than women at being women
Dave, feel free to use (we can work out payment later)
I watched his special. It was not hateful at all. What it also was not was funny. Don’t get me wrong, I watched it front the back, but I only laughed a couple of times but no belly laughs. I smiled a few times, and mostly felt like it was an enjoyable speech.
This was my first time watching him do anything. I never watched his comedy before. I guess I am just an O.F., that is Old Fart as my Mother would call it. My Dad who coined the pseudonym had a different word after Old.
Years ago, I actually met his agent here in L.A. (they’re almost right beside our company) and he explained the idiots at Comedy central “overspent” on him, and he doesnt need to work again. He doesnt need to be like Seinfeld where he’s in the same boat, but “wants” to be on the road but not greedy enough to charge $75 a seat.
He has serious FU money. And isn’t afraid to tell you to FO if he doesn’t like you.
His “Jessie Smolyay the French actor” bit was hilarious, when that was going on. Must see clip.
Watch the bit I posted just above.
They keep saying that word. I don't think that word means what they think it means.
The ability to fight off cancel culture is absolutely a function of net worth.
Only in the early 21st Century is this a radical notion.
>He has serious FU money.
The guy lives on a farm in Ohio. They can’t touch him.
It’s almost like zillions of people don’t want to have to pretend a person can change sex.
EXACTLY ; )
It must come with being fundamentally at odds with reality in the case of the gender fluid crowd.
Homosexuals may just have that “we’ve been oppressed” vibe supplying the chips on their shoulders, a down low version of race grievance hustling that keeps what they think are the wrongs of the past evergreen.
Actually, I’m okay with returning to the “wrongs” of the past where homosexuality is concerned. Homosexual acts should have always remained illegal everywhere and “Ask, Tell” was entirely proper, it actually rocked. Those laws didn’t need to be anywhere near rigorously enforced to benefit society and keep various homosexual causes from running amuck in society as they’re currently doing.
and safety wired...
Btw … the idiocy of the gender identity crowd did not stop with “birthing persons” and the idea that men can have babies too, now they are taking it to the next step with “inseminators”, who presumably can be women.
Scripture speaks of a strong delusion … well, the gender identity crowd are certainly delusional.
Dave does comedy the old fashioned way, he skewers everyone. Black, white, left, right, man, woman, gay, straight. He is a muslim, so there is one thing he won’t go after, but everyone else, including himself, is fair game.
Sex is a fact. Gender is a grammatical term.
A problematic bit. No quotation marks. That ain’t journalism.
