Sorry for the link back to the Free Republic home page. I could not figure out how to post this without a source link.
My 8-year old grand-niece's mother sent her a new HP laptop with Windows 10 pre-installed, and asked me to set it up. I have used Apple products exclusively at home, and always had dedicated IT people at work.
I feel like a complete neophyte with Windows 10 stuff. I read online that the Windows parental controls are not good, and I should use third party software. Is that true? If so, what software do you-all recommend?
What educational software would be good to have?
Well, silly me. I though I had put in the FR homage url, instead of the other home page.
Googling might help you.
You are too old for this task.
Find a teenager to do it.
Disable the network adaptor, simple really
How do I find the “FR homage url”?
Lol
Why do you need parental controls?
LOL!
watch them while they use it...
You don’t trust your parents?
Haha! Good one.
Please remember that many parents are White Supremacist Domestic Terrorists.
2 helpful posts out of 12... The Class clowns just can’t help themselves.
Yeah. It used to be that FR people would fall all over themselves being helpful. Not so much in the recent years, but I was hoping.
After I posted this I was looking at the FR hall of fame towards the bottom of the FR homepage, and saw that too many of the early activists are now dead and gone.
I am proud that I met so many of them at demonstrations in DC in the summer and fall of 2000.
Ping!
