Stats and Predictions in Body of Comment.
My average over more than 30 years is around 60%.
If a favored team loses, just replace with the next highest ranked team to figure out the next predicted winner(s).
Remember my average is really good, but just like the stock market, you don’t bet on one stock or one year. It’s an overall average over many years.
According to the stats I use (Points For minus Points Against), the “World Series” (best two teams in baseball) would be the NLDS between the Dodgers vs. the Giants.
Rank DIFF (PS minus PA)
1 NL LA Dodgers 269
2 NL San Francisco 210
3 AL Tampa Bay 206

As a Cards fan, though, I hope the 1 game WC playoff tomorrow ruins those predictions! :)
I hope we have good baseball weather for the playoffs and World Series. We run the risk of bad baseball weather this time of year in most of the country. The powers that be have scheduled game 7 of the World Series for November 3rd. There could be chilly nights in Chicago, St.Louis, New York, and Boston in these playoffs.
I want the Braves to win it all. I’m a lifelong fan anyway, but this year especially for the MLB’s crap stunt of pulling the all-star game from Atlanta after the voting reforms were passed here.
I will root for the Braves too, for that reason.
Here is my prediction:
The playoffs will be cancelled this year due to millions of true followers of Jesus Christ disappearing from earth sometime during Oct 7-8, because martial law will likely be declared.
And thus begins Tribulation: https://www.endtime-studies.com/pyton/rapture-dates/
He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.
Weather is the least of the worries. I could definitely see a Wuhan breakout causing havoc.
As a fellow Card fan, I am with you. I like the odds a bit better with no Kershaw and Muncy. It will all be riding on #50 and Uncle Charlie. Scherzer will be a tough day at the plate for the Birds. He threw 8 innings against St. Louis and won 5-1. That was in early September before all the players came off the IL and the winning streak. It will be an interesting game with both managers managing it close to the vest since it is lose and go home.

By the way, it's "RS/RA".
Do you have odds on this prediction?
Because if we are in our last 2 or 3 days, I would arrange my diet differently than if I can expect to still be around next week. Thank you.
The World Serious will reprise in LA and Tampa, so barring earthquake and hurricane....
FWIW-
I know but I don’t like the vague term “”RS runs scored” because it could be runs scored for runs scored against. Why does the media always slouch toward vagueness? It used to be simply “Runs For” and “Runs Against”.
So the stat I use to rank the teams is RF minus RA.
The rest of the world, not so much.
That's why I think we first have to see Luke 14:23-23 fulfilled first before Jesus comes, our merciful God giving everyone one last chance before all hell literally breaks loose.
In the meantime we'll enjoy either way.
Hey, go find whatever floats your boat...
As a Rays' fan AND for making this Tampa Bay a TRIPLE Champion Year (NFL/NHL & ...), I'm rooting for the reprise BUT with the Rays on top! If we make it, it is, statistically, either SF or LA against us and them be hard wins!
I think the Cardinals will do it. They always sneak into the Post-Season then make it to the World Series.
Most of all, I want to see the Yankees and Dodgers lose the wild cards and have to explain why 25 gazillionaires couldn’t win one game with their postseason riding on it.
Nonetheless, I will try to offer a sensible prediction:
A.L. Wild Card: Yankees (Cole vs Eovaldi). New York goes with their ace and the ghost of Bucky Dent still lingers.
N.L. Wild Card: Cardinals (Wainwright vs Scherzer). St. Louis is white-hot right now, coming off a 17-game winning streak. They’re peaking at the right time.
A.L.D.S. 1: Rays. Cole can only pitch once and the Rays have clobbered New York all year. That should continue.
A.L.D.S. 2: White Sox. Houston’s pitching and offense seem to be falling apart at the worst time.
N.L.D.S. 1: Brewers. This is a toss-up, really so I am taking the one with home field advantage.
N.L.D.S. 2: Giants. Haven’t we seen this postseason matchup before?
A.L.C.S.: Rays. ChiSox have great starting pitching. Tampa has NO starting pitching but this is how Tampa wins.
N.L.C.S.: Giants. Whether they face the Brewers or Braves, it won’t be as hard as beating St. Louis.
World Series: Rays vs. Giants - In a 7-game series, I’m picking Tampa Bay. Fighting the Dodgers and Padres all year is remarkable but fighting the Yankees, Red Sox and Blue Jays all year is even harder.
