The two who died - at 38 and 79 years old - had Covid-19 and had taken ivermectin instead of proven treatments like monoclonal antibodies, said Dr. David R. Scrase, the acting head of the state health department. He said the drug had contributed to both deaths, causing kidney failure in one of the patients.
Dr. Scrase said in an interview on Saturday that using ivermectin to treat Covid was like taking an antacid for a heart attack. “It’s the wrong medicine for something really serious,” he said.
Dr. Susan Smolinske, the director of the New Mexico Poison and Drug Information Center, said that about half of the reported cases of ivermectin poisoning this year were people who took the drug to prevent Covid.
While certain versions of ivermectin are prescribed to treat head lice and other parasites in people, other formulations - which come in forms such as liquid and paste - are commonly used in the equine and livestock industries to combat worms and parasites.
In past years, Dr. Smolinske said, many of the incidents in New Mexico involved children mistakenly taking chewable tablets intended for dogs, but recently the poison centers had seen more instances of people taking concentrated forms of the drug intended for large animals.
“Most of our cases are of the horse or dewormer or pour-on product, so they’re highly concentrated compared to those tablets for dogs,” said Dr. Susan Smolinske, the director of the New Mexico Poison and Drug Information Center.
Dr. Smolinske said misuse of the drug can cause drowsiness, dizziness, tremors or even a coma. “It gets into the brain, and if you take a high enough dose, it has difficulty getting out of the brain,” she said.

And then censor all opposition. Threaten job loss for all who refused. Forbid entry to places of business, education, government office or places of worship, unless they had HCQ or Ivermectin passports. Then demonize dissenters, and even blame them who resist as superspreaders.
In other news, tens of millions of people have taken ivermectin for decades safely.
It is also incredibly hard to overdose on.

To be fair, that's on the separate planet of Africa, which is near the climate planet of IndiaChina, where they can burn coal till the cows come home and not have any effect on the Western Civilization planet of EuropeAmerica.
There is little debate that Ivermectin is safe. The problem is that people seem to confuse safe with efficacious. This is to say that while Ivermectin as a drug will not kill you, it is the wrong drug for the disease.
In this case — this is exactly what many of us have seen. Ivermectin does not work for CoVID 19. It is at best weakly effective and probably only in mild cases. It absolutely does not work with advanced disease. In this case...using Ivermectin delayed two patients to the point that they failed to be eligible for monoclonals, which have an excellent track record in actually stopping this disease.
It is very important to note the difference and stop applying the misdirection that Ivermectin is safe. The better question — does it help, and the answer is there are far better treatments.
India disagrees. Along with a ton of studies.
Did they also get the renal toxic drug Remdesivir?
We really need to see the charts and autopsy tix results to know cause of death. There has been enormous corruption and politicization in cause of death.
The time to take Ivermectin is BEFORE you get sick.

To be fair, if you wait til your sick, it works pretty good too. Cured plenty of peeps around here with the 1% injectable cattle and swine ivermectin. However, I , like you, took it before I got sick... but I never got sick. Shared pillows with, and kissed all over Mrs. homophobe while she was sick...
Sure let’s ignore many thousands of deaths from jabs. Let’s ignore hundreds of thousands of severe side effects from jabs. Let’s ignore the absolute lack of any data at all of the long term health risks of jabs. Lets instead focus on the speculation of a doctor picked out by the msm that two covid deaths may have been related to ivermectin. That’s what we call following the science.
Disregard the bullet wounds to their bodies.
So if used improperly or by untrained people, or even by people taking the proper dose, Ivermectin can kill you like any other drug. I listen to the TV drug ads.
I've watched it work on a family member in 3 hours--brought back taste and smell. After second dose next day, all symptoms disappeared.
I've also read that old folks already on ventilators are being treated with Ivermectin and recovering fully. It shouldn't be that shocking. Ivermectin was invented to kill one of the nastiest parasites known to medicine, river blindness, and has been in successful use for decades. And the inventors got a Nobel Prize for it.
The official opposition to its use for the Coup Flu is that it works and could spoil the market for Dr. Faustus's poison.
Central Africa, where Ivermectin has been in routine use for many years for various tropical maladies, has some of the lowest Covid death rates on the planet. Coincidence? Maybe, but I don’t think so.
