Saw a news report that the kid told his parents he was going for a hike. When he didn’t return they went out looking for him and found his parked car and decided to take it back to their house. Doesn’t smell right.

If your kid is missing why take his car where he left it in case he comes back late? And why not call the cops immediately?

I understood that there was a note on the car from some local authority asking that it be moved, when they first went looking for it; and they left it there a little longer regardless before they finally took it home.
