The NSA has been given billions of dollars a year to spy on the US & the world. Its primary (ostensible) purpose is to protect the country by detecting planned attacks against the US.

The head of that agency in the months leading up to 9/11, and on 9/11 itself, was @GenMhayden .

What went on with the NSA and the famous other 16 intelligence agencies who get billions (tens of billions?) a year on 9/11 and before then?

Was 9/11 another case of a grand government failure?

The world changed in many ways because of 9/11.

New alphabet agencies were created with new overarching powers to monitor and control us and our actions and there is no going back to the world as it was before.

From a certain point of view, 9/11 was extremely successful for some: all pleasure and no pain whatsoever. Not then and not now.

In fact, from that point of view, all is happening on schedule and according to plans, as with Afghanistan, for one of many examples since Biden “won” election.

Whatever NSA learned prior to the attack was separated by the Bill Clinton Wall from other agencies. Who they could tell was limited, further, the warnings about the attack from other sources were discredited at the time by various ‘authorities’.

Yes, because of the Clinton Wall it was another government failure.

Its all documented back when they had all the hearings about 9/11 - I don’t know any links offhand - Look up Jamie Gorelick the architect of the Wall - here’s her wiki entry :

Since she is still alive, its likely been scrubbed of her involvement, but its a place to start should you pursue it.
