2021’s mild summer has another victim: the humble potato chip.
As if the 2021 winter couldn’t get any worse, it’s now hitting us in the chip pocket.
Because of 2021’s constant rainfall and general poor weather, Switzerland’s potato harvest is disappointing.
When combined with a 30 percent increase in demand due to people sitting at home eating chips rather than going to restaurants, a chip shortage looms in Switzerland.

I just learned another worthless factoid that Switzerland even grows potatoes, let alone they now have a shortage for making chips.

All the russet or Kennebec potatoes they want. Let me know. Kennebec are the best frying potatoes, so many others are classified as “chippers.”

Very sorry, but afaik the liquor barrels on the collars of the rescue-dogs are a cute little fairytale.
They woud, for the most part, be an impediment for the dog as it struggles to dig the victim of an avalanche out of the snow.
This is what these dogs can do. Thanks to their acute sense of smell they are able to locate people who are covered by a snow layer several feet thick.
