I followed the podcasts of Brett Weinstein and his wife Heather Hying
Darkhorse productions.
They are both PhD’s in biology.
They don’t recommend ivermectin as a prophylactic.
They do recommend it as therapeutic.

Yup, Zinc seems to have a synergistic affect when taken with vitamin D3 too. Lots articles on the pair.

Probably doesn’t hurt to have the zinc, but I don’t believe Ivermectin acts as an zinc ionophore as HCQ and Quercitin do
