NY is a nice place, just ask anyone!! Murders and robberies are all up, and now residents want to own guns to protect themselves

I’ve worked in Lower Manhattan on and off throughout my career, most recently in 2019 and am in Jersey City now. Always felt safe there and left work, many a late night. Never an issue. My wife and I went to dinner a few weeks ago in Little Italy. We were so uncomfortable on Canal Street, that we Ubered back to Penn rather than the subway which we would have always taken. The city is a mess now, back to pre-Giuliani days. Cops are non-existent, no NYPD, no Port Authority police. This is what happens when civil society begins to break down and government institutions side with the lawless over the lawful.
The summer of love protesting has stopped it seems.
Another black on white violent assault and near murder but somehow we are supposed to just ignore their savagery.
What I find curious is the thug is wearing a mask. So he is obeying the leftist dictates: Wear a mask, fight white supremacy.
