Agree completely. John Laroquette may be the only original star left.
Looking at the first season main cast (on the IMDB), it is only Laroquette, Richard Moll (Bull), and Karen Austin (Lana Wagner) who are still with us, as Harry Anderson, Selma Diamond, and Paula Kelly have passed away. The second season has only Ellen Foley, Moll, and Laroquette still around as Charles Robinson, Harry, and Selma have since passed.
On the show’s total run now, it is only John Laroquette, Richard Moll, Karen Austin, Ellen Foley, and Marsha Warfield (who replaced Florence Halop who died after the third season after replacing Selma Diamond in 1985) who are still alive.
Dan Fielding is my hero ...!

Besides Laroquette, Richard Moll (Bull) and Charles Robinson (Mac) are still kicking around as is Marsha Warfield (Roz).
Warfield was a replacement for the deceased Florence Halop (Flo) who herself was a replacement for the deceased Selma Diamond. The decision to go with the younger Warfield after Halop died was to prevent another age related death amongst the cast.
Warfield is still alive and doing stand up.
Gail Strickland played the Public Defender in the pilot but was replaced. Still kicking.
Ellen Foley, season two, was let go because it was felt her character had more of a sister/brother relationship to the Judge Stone character. Markie Post had always been the first choice but was tied up with Fall Guy. She jumped to Night Court for season three after FG ended.
Anyhoo, Ellen is still kicking around.
Karen Austin was the original court clerk but left and was replaced by Charles Robinson. She was only on 10 episodes.
Aaannndddd.....we’re done.

Charles Robinson, who played the court clerk, passed away last month. He also had recurring roles in Home Improvement and Mom.

Richard Moll aka Bull is still with us.
