Long-awaited NCAA gender equity review recommends combined Final Four for men's, women's basketball at same site

A law firm hired to investigate gender equity concerns at NCAA championship events released a blistering report Tuesday that recommended holding the men's and women's Final Fours at the same site and offering financial incentives to schools to improve their women's basketball programs.

The review by Kaplan Hecker & Fink LLP had been highly anticipated. The firm was hired in March after the NCAA failed to provide similar amenities to the teams in the men's and women's Division I basketball tournaments, a situation that blew up on social media amid player complaints and prompted apologies from NCAA executives including President Mark Emmert.

They should make them play co-ed and only count 50% of the points by genders.

There you go - force people to pay for women’s basketball if they want to see men’s basketball. That’ll make it fair.

Not sure if this is a good idea. The potential for overcrowding around the game site could cause a lot of problems.

No way should they combine the finals. Keep them in separate locations and spread the wealth

only count 50% of the points by genders.

This is not good enough.

The only way to guarantee gender equity is to ban both human males and females from athletic competition--only chimps should be allowed to play!

just get rid of the women’s league - let them try out and play on the formerly called ‘mens’ league’s if they can make the cut; democrats have already told us there is no such thing as two sexes anymore anyway.

Solution: Recruit MORE trannies

Reminds me of a few years ago when a woman’s rights advocate said the main reason men drew crowds to such games was due to the games being played at preferential times of the week. Yup, had nothing to do with quality and skill.

Letting men in the general public watch the men's playoffs contributes to toxic masculinity. So they need to declare the top 64 teams in both men's and women's basketball but have playoffs only for the women's teams.

Don’t care. Last year, for the first time in 30 years, I didn’t fill out an NCAA bracket. I used to LOVE March Madness. I’ve pretty much given up on all pro and college sports. Sports used to be an escape, but now you never know when an announcer, player or commercial is going to throw some woke propaganda at you. Good-bye. I don’t miss you.

The women would always be the opening act for the men’s games. If they did it opposite the arenas would be emptied upon the end of the men’s game.

I don't get this.

Why don't these womyn just try out for the men's team?

I've seen Hollywood movies. The ladies would easily push the men off the teams, 'cuz they are just as good, or better, than men.

Maybe I am missing something, but why in the world would people be waiting with baited breath for a “gender equity “ report??

They'll probably make people buy tickets to both Finals as a package deal. That way they can raise the price, and send more money to the womens' programs.

Of course, it won't make people actually go to the game.

Soon - and I mean within a few years someone will get a bright idea and college sports. “Let’s have a league of just actual students no scholarships - all the best players will be in pro leagues anyway.”

D3 will be the way to go and it might even be fun to watch again.

Since 75% of college students will be women and or illegal aliens who know nothing about real football, the number of college football team will be down to about 100 total.
