Study shows that anti-parasitic drug slows pancreatic cancer in mice
Medical XPress / Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine / Oncotarget ^ | Aug 3, 2021 | Tara Williamson, et al

As the third-most lethal cancer in the United States, with only a 1% five-year survival rate for people with its most aggressive form, pancreatic cancer has long been a target of researchers who search for ways to slow or stop its growth and spread. Now, researchers have found that an anti-parasitic drug prevents pancreatic cancer's initiation, progression and metastasis in genetically engineered mice.

…Mebendazole could slow or stop the growth and spread of both early and late-stage pancreatic cancer.

"We think that mebendazole could have a role in all stages," Riggins says. "It was particularly effective for pancreatic cancer that was detected early."

Riggins and his team administered mebendazole to mice that were genetically engineered to develop pancreatic cancer. The team measured the inflammation and the change in tissue, as well as the stage, grade and metastatic status in each tumor.

Tubulin, Riggins explains, is both a micro-skeleton of the inner cell and a highway for transport. The drug gets into the parasite's gut and collapses the tubulin, starving the parasite to death. The study shows that mebendazole may act similarly in pancreatic cancer by collapsing cancer cells' structure, along with other mechanisms such as reducing inflammation.

Riggins says he hopes to continue his team's research through human clinical trials.

"We are advocating for use of mebendazole as a therapy for those diagnosed before metastasis to see if we can slow or prevent pancreatic cancer," Riggins says. "For those with more advanced cancers, it could be an alternative to certain surgeries. Mebendazole may have utility as a therapy after initial treatment to prevent tumor recurrence in the 15% to 20% of pancreatic adenocarcinoma patients who undergo surgery. It may also increase the durability of response to standard chemotherapy in the remaining 80% to 85% of patients with advanced disease."

This is not the first time coming across the ability to use dewormers against cancer. There was a man in a Daily Mail article in 2017 that cured advanced small cell lung cancer with a different one. This site has links to that, some studies, and anecdotal information on the approach taken by the man:

Ivermectin has shown some anti-cancer properties. Perhaps part of the reason Big Pharma has suppressed its use against Covid . . .

And from Huldah1776, just now, a Nature review of ivermectin showing just that:

I was wondering at the time if Rush Limbaugh's physicians tried fenbendazole on his cancer. I had read about this man treating his cancer successfully with it.

On a side note, Ivermectin is an antiparasitic and it works to clear covid from the body as the patient's immune system st6ops the virus and yields better immunity to the virus class of covids.

I used febendazole in my Pyrenees who had bone cancer... he was given a few months to live and lived over a year but eventually succumbed. I noticed immediate improvement though, his limp went away for months.

I wonder what would have happened if I started it sooner or used higher doses.

That is a great article about Ivermectin. Thanks for the link. The numbers are astonishing...but remember, it is dangerous and unproven!
• Since the prodigious drug donation operation began, 1.5 billion treatments have been approved
• 113 million people being treated yearly, predominantly in Africa.
• For most afflicted countries, nationwide Onchocerciasis elimination is within reach and there is hope that the global elimination target of 2025 will be achieved.
• Latest models indicate that if the 2025 target (or sooner) is to be achieved, 1.15 billion more treatments will be required
• During 2016, well over 900 million donated ivermectin tablets should be dispatched, representing more than 325 million treatments.
• During 1995–2010, it was estimated that the disability-adjusted life years averted via the impact on these non-target diseases added a further 500,000 disability-adjusted life years to the African Programme for Onchocerciasis Control’s 19.1 million saved due to Onchocerciasis interventions.
It truly is a miracle drug.

I lost my dad to pancreatic cancer.

It’s a terrible disease, and fast.

I was just about to post the very same thought.

It goes along with the theory that most cancers are virally caused.

I have two female close friends that had been diagnosed with cancer. The first had a preliminary diagnosis of pancreatic cancer, the second friend had been diagnosed with cancer of the thyroid.

Prior to this, I had a lump in my left breast, and was scheduled by the VA to have a mammogram. I had read a post on Freerepublic about Fenbendazol and cancer. I did some reading on the internet about it and decided to try it. The lump was gone, verified by the VA in two weeks.

I related this to my two female friends and ask them to do their own research. They both did and started taking it.

Both of their cancers went away. Their oncologists Could not explain it.

This is of course anecdotal, but I’m a believer. Anyone can google it. I ordered mine on Amazon prime, and so did both of them. The stuff I ordered was Safegaurd, dewormer for dog’s 6 weeks or older. Three one gram envelopes, less than $6 for a week.

I’m not saying it works, only that I had, nor did they have any side effects other than the problem being solved.

What dosage did you take? I just bought a tube for my aunt with bone cancer but I couldn’t recommend a dosage.

I’m currently taking the horse vesion, sort of apple flavored paste. $17 for thirty six doses from a box of six tubes. Treated my sick little kitty-girl with it. Cured her.
