Because they have spent years practicing and training to get where they are. If they walk out it will not be covered by the media. It will be like peeing in a swimming pool. It’s a warm feeling, but nobody notices. Also, they have family and friends watching them perform. Some of those have probably contributed to the contenders being there. Also, there is probably no sense of solidarity. They are isolated from each other physically and by language. So, every decision is made alone. As far as they know, it will just be them...the one and only, with no access to tell the world why. By walking out they may be termed “haters.”
I think they should walk out. But, then, it’s not me who has spent forty hours each week training so I could be there.

They spend years training and competing for one shot and they want to try for a Silver or Bronze metal.
Trans women should just take over all women’s sports and actual women should go bake cookies I guess.
