The noble lie is revealed.
NY Times front page headline today:
"Vaccinated people may spread the virus, though rarely, CDC reports".
Now its time for the stake holders to triple down on authoritarian measures.

The cat is out of the bag.

Two interpretations of that saying:

1. Current colloquialism: A secret has been revealed
2. 18th century naval slang: The Cat O'Nine Tails is out of the green baize bag in which it is kept. Someone is about to be flogged.

I like the second one better, but I'm hoping for 1 leading to 2.
