Over 160 million people are vaccinated in the USA. And no, we’re not dropping like flies. Of the people I know personally, one had problems. She also is in her late 80s, was at extremely high risk for dying from COVID with multiple respiratory issues, and her issues are no worse than my wife had after getting a shingles shot.
She will die soon, if only due to old age. She spent the last year unable to go to the store due to her risk factors and now she can get out.
All the rest of us are doing FINE. Most reported a sore arm for a day or two. I didn’t even have that. And FWIW, I never get the flu vaccine because it always makes me sick for 3-4 days. The military required me to get it every year. When I retired, I stopped because I was tired of getting sick every year.
My wife refuses to take the vaccine because of her reaction to the shingles shot.
