An anti-mask protester in California is under fire for more than just her unorthodox medical beliefs after she was caught on video striking a masked woman who identified herself as a breast cancer patient by hitting her in the chest during a heated demonstration outside of a treatment center.
Anti-mask demonstrators appear to have been gathered outside of the Cedars-Sinai Breast Health Services building in West Hollywood Thursday to protest the facility’s rule that all persons who enter building wear a mask, regardless of whether they have been vaccinated against COVID-19.

Smells like antifa.
Whatever the truth, I can’t help but wonder how far we are from becoming the land of the new Hutus and Tutsis... Same people, different tribes, clubbing and hacking each other to death in the streets.
Sad sorry state of affairs we are devolving into. People actively cheer the humiliation and destruction of other people. Really very unhealthy mental attitude and it won’t get cured soon enough.
Set up
The cancer patient was the one acting aggressive .
the premise is a lie.
Agree with previous comments.
This doesn’t pass the smell test.
Another hoax setup. Get the tone of the article and it leaps out at you that it is fake.
In tomorrows talking head shows, the cancer patient will have been holding puppies and kittens when they got punched.
Everyone should be wearing masks in a cancer center. People should wear masks at any medical center, doctor’s office, or hospital. Flame away. I don’t care.
With that said, if the alleged cancer patient was afraid of catching covid, why did she get close to the people without masks? At one point, her own mask was off.
It really does. Why would anti-maskers protest at a cancer treatment center? It doesn’t make any sense.
Most people who are opposed to masks don’t even care if others are wearing masks anyway. They just don’t want maskers harassing them.
Yep, but the whole thing is hinky.
was shocked yesterday to hear BBC’s “Naked Scientists” radio program from Cambridge University debunk the usefulness of masks.
although it was the opening segment, am not surprised to find no mention of it on the summary of the program below, which only lists the other segments (Bees, body odour, and beaming pictures from space: we’ve gone behind the scenes of this year’s digital fair).
however, listen from 1min55sec to 6min50sec for the mask segment. none work.

NOT RECOMMENDING LISTENING TO THE REST - WHETHER LONDON MAYOR, SADIQ KHAN, IN THE FIRST MINUTE, PRAISING PEOPLE FOR WEARING MASKS WITHOUT THE NEED FOR MANDATE, NOR THE REST OF THE PROGRAM WITH ITS USUAL HEAVY-HANDED GLOBULL WARMING PROPAGANDA.
This is not a hoax, the anti-vaxxer movement is lunatic fringe. It is rooted in flat earth society types and bunko faith healers.
Real conservatives are for law and order. Goldwater, Nixon, and Reagan would never have let in that freakshow.
btw the host of Naked Scientists is Chris Smith. he sensibly brings up the fact people with glasses and masks get their lenses all fogged up, which proves a massive amount of material escapes.

AUDIO: approx 6 mins: 20 July: The Naked Scientists: Masking for COVID: fit for purpose?
Interview with
Eugenia O’Kelly, University of Cambridge
(EXCERPTS) Chris (Smith) - When people do experiments to work out whether or not masks do arrest a lot of the stuff that’s coming through them, do they actually do a comprehensive experiment where they look from behind as well as in front? Because a lot of the studies I’ve seen have just been looking from the side, looking at stuff being projected forwards. And they’re ignoring the fact that I mean, a lot of my colleagues who put face coverings on at work and wear glasses, their glasses are incessantly steaming up. Now that’s showing you that there’s a lot of material blowing up over the upper part of the face and is not being stopped by a face covering. So how good are your average face coverings at actually stopping these droplets?
Eugenia (Kelly) - I think that’s a very good point and one perhaps very good visual of how much escape you can get around the sides of the mask is if you watch someone in a very cold environment, you can see the vapor from your breath escaping around all sides of the mask is significant. And that’s really a sign of poor fit. And while those masks are likely to hinder very large droplets that you’re projecting when you’re speaking, it’s not really fitting well enough to filter those smaller particles.
Chris (Smith) - Do you have a feel for, if you take a person at random off the street who is wearing some kind of face covering, how effectively they are wearing it?
Eugenia (Kelly) - Well, unfortunately at this point we don’t have a significant enough sample size that we can really make that assessment. What we have done is we have created a tool so that if you’re wearing a higher efficiency mask, such as a surgical mask and FFP2 mask or FFP3 mask, you can at home perform the same type of tests that a hospital performs on its workers to make sure that their masks fit.
Chris (Smith) - Did you try it on yourself?
Eugenia (Kelly)- Yes, I did. Most of the experiments we’ve done I’ve tried on myself while working out some of the kinks.
Chris (Smith) - And were you masking effectively?
Eugenia (Kelly)- I was not actually. So I tried it on five different masks on myself. And what surprised me was especially given the fact that I’ve been working with this, reading all of this literature, doing these studies, there were masks I thought fit, and when I tested them, they didn’t...

And yet it appears the “maskers” were the aggressors.
Respiratory droplets are typically 5-10 microns (µm), and "may" range as small as 0.6 µm, BUT, sizes under 10 µm are after evaporation. As exhaled (sneezed, coughed, sung, etc.) / INSIDE the masks droplets are "inspirable" (non-evaporated), with all sources I know of citing 10 µm as a lower size limit. (Part of even a surgical mask's function is to prevent droplet evaporation.)
Why do the droplets not evaporate under a mask or before or as exhaled? Because "breath" humidity is too high, which is another way of saying there are lots of free water molecules in that air, and it is difficult for more to join them.
Water vapor molecules of course can go through a mask, but they cannot carry virions; water molecules are only about 0.275 of a nanometer, or 0.000275 µm across. That's well over 3 orders of magnitude difference smaller than the smallest virion carrying droplets inside the mask.
Most ANYBODY can run their own tests to demonstrate the above. Various vids on You Tube are available too.
Chris Smith is naked, alright.
Now, if you want to argue enough people don't wear and use proper material masks correctly, or a non-N95 (or close) mask does not offer good protection to a wearer in an environment where carriers are maskless or improperly wearing masks or using thin bandanas, that's a different matter.
If you want to argue that science education in this country stinks, that's true too. I am not in favor of mandates, I am in favor of competent education, of which there has been almost none from ANYBODY save a few lone voices and a few You-Tubers.
Again, this guy is an idiot.
Eugenia is an idiot too.
