There's your answer. When you have a teenager raising a baby with no father figure around, who herself is the product of a similar situation, and very likely the grand-product of that same situation, you have non-socialized savages devoid of empathy for others. How many times have you see teen Amish "mothers" ignoring their little toddler who is reaching up with their arms to get picked up and held? Yet they are denied that simple pleasure because "mom" is busy playing cell phone games, reading a magazine, etc. This produces kids with no empathy or feeling toward other people.
