Florida. It’s crocodiles that are protected by making it illegal to mess with alligators.

Actually, the live alligator was the property of Congo River Golf. Stealing the alligator was akin to say rustling cattle or stealing a pig.

After the alligators grow too large for the golf course they can be sold to a farm where they are slaughtered for human food and leather

In East Tennessee gator is a popular dish where the perineal Florida gator is consumed with gusto. Florida can’t be defeated on the grid iron but their soul can be consumed in deep fried lumps.
