He uses several apps that identify aircraft by type, located on a map. The aircraft icons are moving and are different colors based upon their altitude. They are also identified by type.
One shortcoming of the briefings is a huge number of military aircraft (fighters in particular) are not visible because their aircraft types/speeds/locations/altitudes are not allowed to be displayed for obvious national security reasons.
