I don’t live in Chicago anymore, but this very thing actually happened where I live.
Are you saying that no innocent bystanders are ever shot/killed in Chicago? I had no idea that the shooters there were such fine marksmen. If that’s not true, what number (or at least ratio) would you find acceptable. I have no love for these bums either, but decent people of any economic circumstances have a right to live their lives without fear of getting shot.

I'm an economic realist. Should we pour every dollar into making sure that no children get shot, ever? No. We're a country of 365 million people, tragedies are going to happen, that's something mature adults accept.
Look, more kids die in swimming pools than get shot, every year, and I'm not talking about gang-bangers.
On the other hand, what do you suggest be done to stop the dozens of children shot/killed by stray bullets every year, and why isn't the solution applied to swimming pools?
