I saw the MO tour when I was a kid, I was most impressed by the battle scars on the armor.
It must have been something crazy when it was happening.
I think it was the MO but they had the Hornet there for some time too.
I got to go on the Nimitz when it was in dry dock too. I was working on maintenance equipment while it was in dry dock.
I saw a huge amount of cargo going on.
There was like 16 basketball hoops being brought on as I recall.
I was thinking about playing ball on that rough flight deck...yowza.
The had to be some smoother ones somewhere below.

Yeah, they had the MO, Hornet, Ranger, several subs being cut up to recycle, Nimitz, Carl Vinson, a couple of other carriers came through that they swapped around a few times. Up at Subbase Bangor they had the Nuke Boomers, the Alabama, Florida and Ohio I think were some of them. I know Bama was, we saw her going out to sea up at the Hood Canal Floating Bridge. We got caught out on it as they opened it to let the Bama go through. Got a really great view and some photos also.
