I have toured the Alabama, the Texas and the Lexington. I got to ride on the Lex in 1978 when she was still active. A bunch of us boy scouts went out 200 miles in the Gulf of Mexico and got to watch them launch and retrieve aircraft.
The Texas is a WW 1 era battle wagon with 14 inch guns, but even at that they are huge rifles.
