History is full of examples of leaders of countries selling out to enemies. The Roman take over of Southern England in the early Christian era has a lot of examples.

Bignor Manor is thought to be an example of the riches Romans gave kings to help take over the country.

Robert the Bruce is another example of a leader bought off, in this case by Edward II. He later decided to betray his overlord, Edward III, however.

What the current budget reminds me more of is Alexander the Great. Cities that didn’t resist raised huge tribute payments. Get US dollars out before the US dollar crashes.

I think the Chinese goal is for the next few years, is to not let anyone know they took over, which is a page of of “The Art of War”. The best attack is when nobody knows you attacked.

Just economically enslave the US middle class and have US taxpayers fund their pet projects and weapons research which we have been already doing. It will now be on steroids.
