Once pancreatic cancer presents, your days are numbered ... other than acceptance of your fate and getting one’s affairs in order, life extension is the only option in 99% of the cases ... and that life extension is most often measured in WEEKS after very expensive chemo (approximately $17,000 per treatment)... the only consolation for older folks with a PC diagnosis is that they are terminal by definition and now the mystery of “so this is how it ends” is now evident ...
My Grandpa died from pancreatic cancer at age 76. From when he was diagnosed to his death was just a matters of weeks. It’s hard for me to remember exactly but it was less than 2 months before he passed. He was in agony his last couple of days. While we miss him greatly, we were happy that he was no longer in that horrible pain. It was awful.
